VALERIE JUNE’S “CALL ME A FOOL” NOMINATED FOR BEST AMERICAN ROOTS SONG GRAMMY

Valerie June is having a moment. Yesterday, her song “Call Me A Fool,” featuring Stax legend Carla Thomas was nominated for Best American Roots Song at the upcoming 64th GRAMMY Awards, the first nomination of the celebrated singer-songwriter’s career. “Call Me A Fool” is the lead track from June’s highly acclaimed LP, The Moon and Stars: Prescriptions For Dreamers, (Fantasy) released in March of this year. The Recording Academy will present the 2022 GRAMMY Awards on Mon, Jan. 31, on the CBS Television Network and stream live and on demand on Paramount+ from 8–11:30 p.m. ET / 5–8:30 p.m.

Additionally, “You And I,” the album’s beautifully ethereal lead track is featured in Apple’s brand-new holiday #ShotOniPhone film which debuts globally today.
