H·MAC’s wide range of music is almost unseen and unmatched at any other venue in Central, PA.
Big things are happening at The House of Music, Art & Culture. After being awarded a $1 million grant in December of 2017, John Traynor and his partners are continuing to create jobs that pay, are raising enormous sums of money for charitable projects and putting a spotlight on Harrisburg on a national level.
H·MAC has increased job creation to the city of Harrisburg. It has provided jobs that pay, allowing employees to take home livable wages. Currently, H·MAC has a staff of 30 employees. After renovations are completed, H·MAC expects to employ an additional 50+ employees.
The House of Music, Arts & Culture has put Harrisburg on the map nationally with its wide range of music that is almost unseen and unmatched at any other venue in Central, PA.
H·MAC recently has been working with a new booking agency in New York- Excess dB Entertainment. Heath Miller, President of Excess dB Entertainment, is a huge asset to the venue as he has greatly increased the number and frequency of musicians performing at H·MAC. The quality and quantity of musicians performing at H·MAC are unmatched in Central, PA.
H·MAC has raised over $500,000 for local charities. The venue provides free usable space for 501 (c)(3)’s. This makes H·MAC a real catalyst for charitable fundraising endeavors. The House of Music, Art & Culture always is looking for ways to give back to the community. We have raised money for the Leukemia Society, YWCA, the LGBT Center, Art Association of Harrisburg, Shalom House Children with Aids Foundation and so much more.
The House of Music, Art & Culture’s success has only just begun. With renovations set to be underway through the remainder of 2018 and into spring 2019, H·MAC plans to open a music school, studio, production facility and provide over 30 scholarships to local children.
There is no doubt that The House of Music, Art & Culture will remain in the spotlight for years to come.
